Interior Walls Going Up

Our next step was to start the interior walls, but on Friday we had some rain and decided not to go up. Since our boards are stored outside, we didn't want to get them wet carrying them into the house and track mud everywhere. On Saturday, ironically, Bob helped his brother install a metal roof of his garage. He loves installing roofs! You should call him if you need help with yours (seriously though, don't....he might leave me!).

Sunday morning, I begged him to take me hiking so we went up Little and Big Sugarloaf which is located across the lake from the cabin. We brought the binoculars, but it was pretty foggy and weren't able to find the house. It was a great hike regardless!

Monday morning I was excited to finally start putting up some walls! I cut and built the cross boards between the studs and Bob started putting up the pine boards. We got quite a bit done, finishing the left bedroom and almost all of the right bedroom walls, plus the trim work. He then installed the bedroom sconce lights and switches.

When we first got there this morning, after many pulls, the cord finally gave out on the generator. Thankfully we had just enough battery power to run all the tools for the day. Bob had to hoist the generator into the quad and then into my Jeep to get it home to fix it. Should be fun getting it back up there!
