Life Changes and Subflooring!

This week has been anything but normal. I have been talking with my brother Ryan for a few months now, about selling him my one third of Rafferty Auto Sales LLC. This week, we finalized everything! I am grateful to my brother Ryan for his help and understanding. I am so excited to have more time to spend with Christy, Katelyn (our daughter) and BJ (our son).... and of course, more time to spend working on the cabin! I have some things in mind for the future, but for the time being, I have money that is still invested in Rafferty Auto Sales! So... if you are looking for a car or need a great place to have your car serviced, please stop in!

As for the cabin, we have finally finished laying all of the subflooring! Ryan (orange shirt) and his wife, Richelle (pink shirt), came up to see how things were coming along and to help out for a bit. What a job that was.... but with Advantech's "Glue it and Screw it" method, there is no doubt that we have ourselves a very sturdy floor! I can now see this project actually becoming a cabin! Next thing to do is frame in the porch and then start laying logs! I feel as though we're making quick progress. Seems like only yesterday, we were still pouring footings!

Aside from finishing the subfloor, we have also transported an entire pallet of logs up to the property. We sorted and stacked them on the floor! The next "tricky" part of this project is going to be cutting the logs for the power outlets and switches, etc. Can't say that I'm looking forward to figuring that out!
