There's That Darn Ledge
What does my husband want to do on Father's Day? Work of course! What fun would it be if we just had brunch and stayed in sweats all afternoon? He had to feel like he accomplished something, after all, weekends are when we do most of our work.
He and BJ had gone up earlier in the week to finish two more footings (6 total). So this weekend we started on the front porch footings. Both of which had ledge just below breaking ground. Bob used the hammer drill to create the holes, adhere rebar to the ledge with adhesive and then pour a shallow cement footing.
