The Cabin Kit is Delivered!
We knew that the kit would be delivered within 6 weeks of us placing the order. So the next question was, where do we put it? There's no way to get a delivery truck up to our property so that meant we had to store it somewhere. We contemplated renting a couple storage units or having it delivered to Bob's business. There was also some great people that we know near our site that offered to let us keep our supplies in their yard.
In the end we decided to have it go to Bob's work and that we would just transport everything up there. It would take many, many trips and a custom built trailer to haul it, but we figured that would be the less stressful way to go. The delivery truck drove up Monday morning with a huge amount of pallets on it. They unloaded them in the parking lot and Bob, BJ and his brother Ryan started going over the inventory. They were almost done, when ANOTHER big delivery truck showed up with even MORE supplies! In total there are around 9 pallets. All of which we have to load onto a regular trailer, bring up to the class 6 road, load onto the custom off-road trailer attached to either the tractor or side-by-side, go up to the site, unload it off and do it all over again....about 200 times. Easy peasy.
