Decisions, decisions...

Originally, Bob had the noble idea to buy a portable sawmill, clear the land, cut and strip all of our own logs by hand and build our own custom cabin. It sounded great in theory...keeping costs down by using our own trees and having the satisfaction of creating it from scratch. But for people that have no real experience with woodworking and just kind of 'figure things out' as they go, this seemed a bit of a stretch. We finally looked into log cabin kits and found a reputable company with Coventry Log Homes in Woodsville, NH. Salesman Jeremy was helpful, knowledgeable and went out of his way to help us with any questions we had. We settled on the Lakeview, a more feasible project of a 920 sq. ft., 2 bedroom, 1 bath chalet with a loft. We can handle that! We think....

This specific model felt "at home" to us...since our regular home is located on Lakeview Ave. and we will also have a 'lake view' of Newfound Lake from our new cabin site.
